Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne
Salary: £39-40k per annum (plus shift allowance when on shifts)
Kinetic Recruitment is currently resourcing for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a long-term contract in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Our client is a well-known engineering company with operations worldwide. This position will initially start on a dayshift but will eventually lead on to a 3-shift pattern once the successful candidate settles in.
Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Skills and Experience:
- Experience of machine tools
- Formal apprenticeship/5+ years engineering experience
- Working in a machine tool environment preferred
- Mechatronics/cross discipline trained
- Competent with computing, MS applications
- Experience with machine tool geometric alignments/adjustments
- Basic understanding of induction motors
- Knowledge of the operation of relays/contactors/electro-mechanical valves/pumps
- Experience with the use of test equipment
- Understands basic electrical drawings
- Understands advanced hydraulic drawings
- Understands advanced pneumatic drawings
- Experience with Siemens 840D/Dsl
- Familiarity with Siemens 840D/Dsl basic diagnostics, alarm messages, I/O
