Kinetic Recruitment are currently resourcing for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a long term contract in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Our client is a well known engineering company with operations worldwide. This position will initially start on a dayshift but will eventually lead on to a 3 shift pattern once the successful candidate settles in.
Electrical Maintenance Engineer skills and experience:
- Experience of machine tools
- Formal apprenticeship/ 5+ years engineering experience
- Working in a machine tool environment preferred
- Mechatronics/cross discipline trained
- Competent with computing, spreadsheets, word doc etc
- Basic understanding of induction motors
- Knowledge of the operation of relays/contactors/electro-mechanical valves/pumps, etc
- Experience with the use of test equipment
- Understands advanced electrical drawings
- Understands basic hydraulic drawings
- Understands basic pneumatic drawings
- Experience with Siemens 840D/Dsl
- Familiarity with Siemens 840D/Dsl advanced diagnostic, plc variables, drive set up
- Familiarity with Siemens S7 plc diagnostic and editing
- Familiarity with Siemens analogue and digital drives
