Kinetic Recruitment are currently resourcing for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a long term contract in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Our client is a well known engineering company with operations worldwide. This position will initially start on a dayshift but will eventually lead on to a 3 shift pattern once the successful candidate settles in.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer skills and experience:

  1. Experience of machine tools
  2. Formal apprenticeship/ 5+ years engineering experience
  3. Working in a machine tool environment preferred
  4. Mechatronics/cross discipline trained
  5. Competent with computing, spreadsheets, word doc etc
  6. Basic understanding of induction motors
  7. Knowledge of the operation of relays/contactors/electro-mechanical valves/pumps, etc
  8. Experience with the use of test equipment
  9. Understands advanced electrical drawings
  10. Understands basic hydraulic drawings
  11. Understands basic pneumatic drawings
  12. Experience with Siemens 840D/Dsl
  13. Familiarity with Siemens 840D/Dsl advanced diagnostic, plc variables, drive set up
  14. Familiarity with Siemens S7 plc diagnostic and editing
  15. Familiarity with Siemens analogue and digital drives
