We are currently looking for a Proposals/Technical Engineer to join an established niche manufacturing business, based in Cramlington. The Proposal/Technical Engineer is required to join the business on a permanent basis, receiving a salary of around £35,000, with the potential to earn a company performance-based bonus. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in preparing detailed proposals for key projects, ensuring that solutions meet client specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities of the Proposal/Technical Engineer:

  • Receive and manage inbound customer calls and inquiries.
  • Analyse customer needs and recommend suitable solutions through discussions, project analysis, and assessment of project specifications and site drawings.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to gather necessary information.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Experience and Skills of the Proposal/Technical Engineer:

  • Strong technical acumen and the ability to understand engineering concepts related to safety-critical systems.
  • Technical or engineering qualifications preferred but not essential.
