We’re looking for a Production Manager to join a well-established manufacturer in Tameside. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Managing Director to oversee daily factory operations, ensuring smooth production processes, quality control, and full compliance across all areas of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Forecast, order, and manage materials to maintain production efficiency.
- Work closely with production teams to understand material needs and optimise workflow.
- Conduct regular checks, assessments, and internal audits to uphold high-quality standards.
- Implement and maintain quality controls to minimise delays and defects.
- Lead staff inductions, provide ongoing training, and support employee growth.
- Take full responsibility for safety protocols and compliance across departments.
- Plan and execute internal and external audits on a structured schedule.
- Oversee servicing and maintenance schedules to ensure operational efficiency.
What We’re Looking For:
- Health & Safety experience is essential.
- NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management is highly desirable.
- Strong administrative and communication skills.
- Experience in negotiation and operational administration.
- A background in manufacturing or production is advantageous.
