Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Long-term contract
Newcastle Upon Tyne
£39-40k per annum (plus shift allowance when on shifts)

Kinetic Recruitment are currently resourcing for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a long term contract in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Our client is a well-known engineering company with operations worldwide. This position will initially start on a dayshift but will eventually lead on to a 3 shift pattern once the successful candidate settles in.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer skills and experience:

  1. Experience of machine tools
  2. Formal apprenticeship/ 5+ years engineering experience
  3. Working in a machine tool environment preferred
  4. Mechatronics/cross discipline trained
  5. Competent with computing, MS applications
  6. Experience with machine tool geometric alignments/ adjustments
  7. Basic understanding of induction motors
  8. Knowledge of the operation of relays/ contactors/ electro-mechanical valves/pumps
  9. Experience with the use of test equipment
  10. Understands basic electrical drawings
  11. Understands advanced hydraulic drawings
  12. Understands advanced pneumatic drawings
  13. Experience with Siemens 840D/Dsl
  14. Familiarity with Siemens 840D/Dsl basic diagnostics, alarm messages, I/O
