We are seeking a highly skilled Application Engineer with deep experience in fluid power systems (hydraulics and pneumatics) to support customer applications, product integration, and technical solution development. This role bridges engineering and customer-facing functions, ensuring optimal system performance and successful implementation of engineered solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead for customer applications involving hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Collaborate with sales and customers to define system requirements and recommend optimal solutions
- Design, specify, and support integration of fluid power components and systems (valves, pumps, actuators, manifolds, etc.)
- Provide troubleshooting and performance optimization for existing systems
- Support product selection, sizing, and validation for custom and standard applications
- Assist in prototype development, testing, and system validation
- Create technical documentation, application notes, and customer-facing materials
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 5–10+ years of experience in fluid power systems (hydraulics and/or pneumatics)
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic circuit design and analysis, pneumatic control systems, fluid dynamics and system troubleshooting
- Experience with component selection and system integration
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Hands-on experience with testing, validation, and field support
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with customers
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with mobile hydraulics, industrial automation, or motion control systems
- Familiarity with CAD tools and simulation software
- Knowledge of industry standards and safety requirements related to fluid power systems
