We are seeking a full-time Anesthesia Assistant to join a well-established Department of Anesthesiology.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the administration and management of anesthesia care under the supervision of an Anesthesiologist
- Perform pre-anesthesia patient assessments as directed
- Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies
- Assist with induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitor patients intraoperatively and report clinical changes promptly
- Support post-anesthesia care as appropriate
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards
- Collaborate closely with Anesthesiologists, CRNAs, surgeons, and nursing staff
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Anesthesia Assistant program
- Eligible for or holding appropriate state licensure (as required)
- National certification as an Anesthesia Assistant (if applicable)
- Current BLS and ACLS certification (or ability to obtain)
- Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to function effectively within a team-based anesthesia care model
- Commitment to patient safety and high-quality care
