The Accountant is responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing accurate financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting management in financial planning and analysis. This role plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of financial information and supporting strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes, providing variance analysis and recommendations.
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing of accounting records.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in tax return preparation and audit coordination.
  • Assist in payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements.
  • Participate in internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
  • Identify process improvements and help implement efficient accounting systems and controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial data integrity and timely reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA qualification preferred).
  • Proven experience as an accountant or in a relevant financial role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, or similar) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience with budgeting and financial analysis.
