Our client is a well established firm of Chartered Accountants that continues to grow in terms of client base and service line. Lead by four highly prominent Directors this firm has a people centric approach to management, engagement and development. The resulting growth (staff numbers have doubled in the last 3 years!) from this approach sees the requirement to appoint an additional member to the team as Tax Manager. Significant demand exists in the local market for tax professionals at all levels. Responsibilities in this role include: Manage a portfolio of corporate and personal tax clients. Review tax computations prepared by junior staff. Advise clients on tax planning opportunities. Oversee compliance for corporate and personal tax returns. Liaise with HMRC on client matters and resolve enquiries. Support partners with ad hoc tax advisory projects. Monitor deadlines to ensure timely filings and payments. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members. Identify tax-saving opportunities for clients. Handle capital gains, IHT, VAT, and SDLT issues as needed. Keep up to date with tax legislation and industry changes. Assist with onboarding of new tax clients. Work with audit and accounts teams to ensure cohesive client service. Prepare and present reports for internal and client meetings.
