Client: Abacus Careers have been exclusively retained by a leading financial services firm to recruit a BI Analyst/Developer for their thriving operation. Our client employs over 500 staff in Northern Ireland and has been growing consistently over the last 10 years both by acquisition and a very defined growth strategy. Our client has been in the province for over 40 years and in that time has been able to build a business that is known for its friendly, professional and innovative approach to business.
Role: If you are keen to join a progressive and innovative team that will support you through your career as a BI Analyst/Developer then this is the role for you. The team is currently made up of six analytics professionals where you will be able to get all the technical support you need across a range of technologies and skills. Due to the broad company structure and wide varying nature of business requests, this role will have fairly flexible requirements week-on-week. The successful candidate will be involved in many challenging projects which are underway/earmarked for the future, alongside regular duties.
Requirements:
- Third level qualification
- Commercial experience in working with SQL and the MS BI Stack.
- Strong background of T-SQL coding & Data warehousing
- Strong ETL skills (SSIS or similar)
- Experience using Visualisation tools (Power BI or similar)
- Strong problem solving skills
- Possess the ability to provide creative solutions to complex tasks
- Good Time Management skills and working on own initiative
