A chance to work for a successful leading manufacturer known for its commitment to employee development. You will be responsible to the Finance Manager, and working accurately and in a timely manner to produce financial information on sales, costs, debtors and supporting the month and year end process. Our client is seeking to recruit an Accountant that will support the team, enhance systems and procedures and contribute to business improvement initiatives. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Preparation of Key Performance Indicators to support in the management of the Division. Assist in the month end close and in the preparation of the monthly Management Accounts. Reconciling intercompany transactions within the Group. Monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Preparing information to assist in completing the financial year end process for the division. Supporting the credit control process. Support in the preparation of the annual budget and monthly forecast. Preparation of VAT and Intrastat returns, and other necessary statistical declarations. Providing ad hoc financial reporting & analysis as required. Communication: Ensure communications are maintained to keep your Manager advised on progress with tasks and any issues identified. Provide timely and accurate management information, reports and updates on a regular basis as required. Ensure communication is maintained where necessary at an appropriate level with non-financial staff in other departments. Candidate criteria: Advanced working knowledge of windows based software including Microsoft Excel Demonstrate experience in a manufacturing environment Qualified or about to qualify ACCA/CIMA or ACA Excellent written and oral communication, time management & organisational skills Attention to detail Highly analytical Can use initiative & work to strict deadlines Ability to work as part of a team Why work with this firm?
