Our client is a well established firm of Chartered Accountants that continues to grow in terms of client base and service line. Lead by four highly prominent Directors, this firm has a people centric approach to management, engagement and development. The resulting growth from this approach sees the requirement to appoint an additional member to the team as Tax Manager. Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of corporate and personal tax clients.
  • Review tax computations prepared by junior staff.
  • Advise clients on tax planning opportunities.
  • Oversee compliance for corporate and personal tax returns.
  • Liaise with HMRC on client matters and resolve enquiries.
  • Support partners with ad hoc tax advisory projects.
  • Monitor deadlines to ensure timely filings and payments.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members.
  • Identify tax-saving opportunities for clients.
  • Handle capital gains, IHT, VAT, and SDLT issues as needed.
  • Keep up to date with tax legislation and industry changes.
  • Assist with onboarding of new tax clients.
  • Work with audit and accounts teams to ensure cohesive client service.
  • Prepare and present reports for internal and client meetings.
  • Contribute to business development, including networking and proposals.
