The Role
We are looking to attract an IT / Technology Trainer. The Training Team works in a collaborative and supportive environment and delivers training across firm‑wide IT systems. You will work closely with key stakeholders and the team to design and deliver training courses and programmes to colleagues using remote solutions and provide in‑person assistance where needed, as well as creating user guides and videos.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide induction training to new colleagues and deliver upskilling programmes (remote or at‑desk) and support the delivery of rollouts for new or updated software or systems.
- Design new courses and programmes to support the firm for assigned projects, including user documentation or videos to support induction or upskilling programmes.
- Maintain the LMS and keep up with existing technologies in use and learn new systems or improvements to current software along with security, legal and software updates.
- Contribute ideas to initiatives and innovations and improvement of documented processes.
- Analyse the quality and effectiveness of training to support the business.
- Help the IT Service Desk resolve queries logged to the training team.
The Requirement
Experience as an IT Trainer from the legal sector – this is essential. Demonstrate team collaboration and excellent written and verbal communication skills and flexible tone to suit an audience. Present excellent relationship‑building skills with people at all levels. Have a flexible, customer‑focussed approach and take the initiative when resolving issues. Demonstrate strong time‑management skills with the ability to multitask effectively. Experienced in the development of training courses and support materials. It is an advantage to have experience with systems such as DMS (e.g., iManage/WorkSite), Teams, M365, Copilot, Windows 10/11, time‑recording systems (e.g., Intapp Time), InterAction, Mimecast or video‑editing software (e.g., Camtasia or Captivate). Alignment with similar titles such as IT training specialist, technology trainer, system trainer, user engagement specialist and L&D (IT) trainer is desirable.
