Abacus is working with a leading commercial law firm to recruit a Solicitor into its specialist team. Role Summary

You will support on a broad mix of advisory and contentious matters within data privacy and cyber. Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising on UK and international data protection frameworks and compliance
  • Supporting clients on data governance, risk management and regulatory strategy
  • Assisting with data breaches, cyber incidents and regulatory investigations
  • Advising on the use of emerging technologies, including AI and digital platforms
  • Supporting on cross‑border data issues and international data transfers
  • Working closely with clients to deliver practical, commercially focused solutions

The Person

We’re keen to speak with Solicitors who:

  • Are newly qualified or up to 2 years PQE, ideally with exposure to data privacy, IT or regulatory work
  • Have a strong interest in data, technology and innovation
  • Are commercially aware with a pragmatic, solution‑focused approach
  • Are strong communicators with excellent attention to detail
  • Are eager to develop within a specialist, high‑growth area of law
