Our client is a leading law firm with a strong multi-office presence. Led by a renowned Partner, they are keen to appoint a mid to senior-level solicitor for the non-contentious side of their Construction / Projects team in Belfast. It is an exceptional opportunity to build and elevate your career within a dynamic and growing team. You will bring your expertise and advise high-profile clients across a diverse range of sectors including infrastructure, real estate development, hospitality, education, energy and transport. The team regularly advises on landmark projects at local, national and international levels.

Your focus:

  • Advising on all aspects of non-contentious construction law, including contract drafting and negotiation (e.g. NEC, JCT, FIDIC).
  • Draft and negotiate a wide range of construction documents including building contracts, professional appointments, collateral warranties, and related agreements.
  • Advise clients on procurement strategies, project structuring, and risk allocation.
  • Provide specialist construction input on cross-departmental matters, particularly in real estate, banking, and corporate transactions.
  • Working closely with clients, consultants, and colleagues across multiple jurisdictions.

Background:

  • Ideally, a qualified solicitor with at least 5-6+ years' PQE.
  • Strong experience in providing a range of advisory / non-contentious construction and procurement expertise.
  • Track record of drafting and a pragmatic, client-facing and solutions-focused approach.
  • Ability to manage complex workstreams and foster strong client relationships.
