Abacus is working with a highly regarded Belfast law firm to recruit an experienced Litigation Solicitor to join its growing Dispute Resolution team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a broad range of complex and high-value contentious matters across multiple sectors. You'll be joining a collaborative team known for delivering strategic, commercial advice, with strong exposure to quality work and clear progression opportunities.
Role Summary
You will manage a varied caseload of litigation matters while supporting on more complex disputes. Key responsibilities include:
- Handling a range of commercial disputes, contractual claims and professional negligence matters
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements and other key court documentation
- Conducting advocacy at hearings where appropriate
- Advising clients on risk, strategy and settlement, including ADR options
- Liaising with counsel, experts and third-party providers
- Ensuring compliance with procedural rules and key deadlines
- Supporting business development and maintaining strong client relationships.
The Person
We're keen to speak with Solicitors who:
- Are qualified in Northern Ireland with 4–5 years PQE in litigation or dispute resolution
- Have strong technical knowledge of civil procedure and litigation strategy
- Are confident in drafting, negotiation and advocacy
- Can manage multiple cases and work effectively under pressure
- Take a commercial, client-focused approach to their work.
