Role Description

The Workshop Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Andover, responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and repair of motorhomes.

Day-to-day tasks include conducting safety checks, diagnosing faults, carrying out mechanical and electrical repairs, and preparing caravans to a high standard before customer collection or delivery.

The role involves working closely with the sales and customer service teams to ensure motorhomes are presented cleanly, function correctly, and meet all agreed specifications.

The Workshop Technician will maintain accurate service records, follow health and safety procedures, and use appropriate tools and equipment to complete work efficiently.

Supporting the setup of caravans for demonstrations and occasionally assisting with site deliveries or movements may also be required.

Qualifications

  • Technical skills in caravan, vehicle, or leisure industry maintenance, including basic mechanical and electrical fault‑finding and repair.
  • Experience with workshop tools, equipment, and safety procedures, with the ability to follow established service and inspection processes.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly in presentation, cleanliness, and completing work to a high standard.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues and interact professionally with customers.
  • Good organisational skills, including time management, record‑keeping, and the ability to work to deadlines.
  • Full UK driving licence; towing experience or willingness to train in caravan movements and site deliveries is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in caravan, motorhome, automotive, or related workshops is desirable but not essential for candidates with strong technical aptitude.
  • Willingness to undertake relevant industry training and certifications to maintain and develop technical expertise.
