We are looking for a Senior Manager, Commercial UK to take commercial ownership of our UK medicines portfolio and play a key role in shaping and delivering our UK commercial agenda. In this role, you will lead and develop a Copenhagen‑based team of Portfolio Management Specialists and Portfolio Development Analysts, setting direction, ensuring strong portfolio governance, and enabling high‑quality decision support.

You will drive portfolio performance and NHS hospital medicines tenders end‑to‑end, developing pricing strategies, leading complex tender processes, and making clear commercial recommendations within an established governance framework. This role combines hands‑on commercial responsibility with people leadership and close collaboration across the UK and HQ in Copenhagen.

You’ll join our UK Commercial set‑up, working across a team split between the UK and our HQ in Copenhagen. Together we drive portfolio performance and execute NHS hospital medicines tenders in a fast‑moving, highly regulated environment where rigorous analysis and clear commercial decision‑making make a direct difference.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Leading commercial assessment and prioritisation of UK portfolio opportunities
  • Owning end‑to‑end NHS hospital medicines tenders, including pricing strategy, bid/no‑bid recommendations, and post‑award review
  • Developing robust commercial cases to support decision‑making
  • Managing commercial performance, forecasting, and portfolio insight
  • Leading and developing a UK commercial team, setting direction and standards
  • Acting as the senior commercial representative for portfolio and tender matters in UK leadership discussions
  • Working closely with Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, and HQ teams

To succeed in this role, you combine strong commercial judgement with hands‑on NHS tender experience. You enjoy commercial problem‑solving, value rigour over volume, and are motivated by increased responsibility and visibility. You can move between analysis and action, set a clear direction for others, and communicate recommendations credibly to senior stakeholders.

Furthermore, we hope that these factors describe you:

  • Strong commercial experience within pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or a regulated environment
  • Practical experience leading or significantly contributing to NHS hospital medicines tenders
  • Solid financial and analytical capability, with confidence in pricing and margin assessment
  • Experience leading others and taking accountability for outputs
  • Sound commercial judgement and comfort making recommendations in complex situations
  • Clear communicator, able to work credibly with senior stakeholders
  • Fluency in English

This is a remote role based within the Midlands, to enable occasional in‑person team gatherings.
