Project Manager About the Opportunity Abacus is hiring an experienced Project Manager for a leading financial services company.

We’re looking for someone who can take ownership of complex, high-impact projects in a collaborative and forward-thinking financial services environment.

What You’ll Be Doing As Project Manager, you’ll personally lead major projects from end to end — keeping everything on track, on budget, and aligned with business strategy.

You’ll work across teams and stakeholders (including geographically dispersed groups), bringing structure, energy, and creative thinking to every challenge.

Your day-to-day will include: Leading and managing major projects using Waterfall and Agile methodologies Driving successful delivery of material business changes across the organisation Collaborating with a diverse range of business units and stakeholders Championing innovative solutions that put customer experience at the heart of what you do Inspiring and bringing out the best in the people around you You will be part of a core team but will also collaborate with other key PM functions to ensure project delivery goals are achieved.

What We’re Looking For Essential experience: Significant Project Manager experience with a track record of delivering complex, high-impact change.

You must be able to demo project execution, across all critical stages of a PM framework.

Solid knowledge of project delivery methodologies and tools e. g.

Waterfall, Agile, Confluence, JIRA (some rather than all)Experience working across multiple business units and stakeholders, including remote or dispersed teams A proven ability to design and implement innovative solutions that challenge the status quo A proactive, solution-oriented mindset — someone who gets things done without cutting corners Nice to have: Experience managing a project portfolio Experience of AI-related projects is of great interest A recognised PM qualification (CSM, Prince2, PMP) — or a willingness to gain one Awareness of how technology and new working practices are reshaping customer experiences in financial services Knowledge of compliance and experience operating in a regulated environment.
