We are keen to attract people with this profile and background:
- Proven experience in IT management, hands-on involvement in infrastructure and support.
- In-depth knowledge of MS 365, Windows Server, networking protocols, and cloud environments.
- Demonstrable ERP admin experience, proficient in MS Power BI, reporting tools, and basic SQL scripting.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity & data protection best practice and strong PM capability e.g. lead system upgrades, rollouts, and vendor coordination.
- Curious problem-solving and proactive mindset, ask questions to help identify and promote ideas & solutions, gain efficiencies for team, customers, and suppliers.
- Manage multiple priorities and ideally pre-empt and mitigate problems and risks to the IT system and team.
- Work independently but collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, interact and communicate with all levels of the team.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills, strong commercial awareness and understanding of operational business processes.
- Experience within the wholesale distribution, logistics or construction supply sector and/or have overseen multi-location or multi-system environments is an advantage.
Your Purpose:
You will be responsible for managing the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring efficient operation and security across all digital systems. You will play a key role in developing and maintaining existing ERP systems, leading IT projects, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing technological solutions that enhance business efficiency and support our continued growth.
Working closely with the Leadership Team and the support of an IT Technician, you will:
- Oversee the day-to-day management and security of IT systems, networks, and servers.
- Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Provide technical support and training to staff across multiple departments and locations and ensure efficient time management and prioritisation of support tickets.
- Lead and participate in projects to enhance technology infrastructure and systems.
- Maintain security of data, backup systems, and network access and monitor IT assets inventory.
You will ensure a smooth operation and continuous improvement of the ERP system, including:
- Assign and manage user access, licences, roles, and security policies.
- Liaise with ERP and software vendors for support, updates, and customisations.
- Perform updates, upgrades, and modifications as required.
- Design and deliver custom reports and dashboards to support business insight.
- Support integration of ERP with other systems and software solutions.
You will critically offer project leadership & strategy, including:
- Lead and participate in IT infrastructure and systems improvement projects.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to understand business needs and translate them into technology solutions.
- Work proactively to optimise system performance, security, and user experience.
- Support compliance with cybersecurity protocols and data protection standards.
