Abacus are working with the fastest growing accountancy practice West of the Bann. This is a four partner firm that has witnessed significant demand for its services, therefore benefiting from significant year on year growth. This is a team of over 40 people, led by engaged and thoughtful Managers that work from modern offices in Omagh town centre. When hiring, this firm seeks experience but will only hire the people with the right attitudes and behaviours; the success of this team is built upon a shared commitment to work together.

Extension of services now sees additional staff required to work in the area of insolvency and business recovery. Working closely with one of the established Managers, we are seeking a motivated and professional candidate with 3 or more years of experience working in a professional business environment. We are open to assessing candidates from various backgrounds for this niche role. For example, you could be an Accounting Technician from another practice interested in a change of focus. You could also be a Law Graduate working as a Para-Legal or Legal Executive with sector experience, interested in taking on a more senior position.

Responsibilities:

  • Data processing, reviewing financial information and producing first drafts of reports.
  • Assisting the partner in preparing for meetings.
  • Drafting Statements of Affairs, Chairmans Reports and Annual Reports.
  • Completing director conduct investigations.
  • Procedural matters such as filing, reporting, document preparation and statutory compliance.
  • Management of case queries.
  • Daily accurate recording and entry of your time on to our time management system.
  • Liaising with solicitors and creditors.
  • Dealing with documentation, case (inbound and outbound) post and emails.
  • Reconciling payments on in-house and third party systems.
