Due to significant firm-wide growth, we’re delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join our clients Accounting & Financial Reporting Team. This is a fantastic role for a qualified accountant who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys improving processes, and wants to work closely with UK and international colleagues.
We’re looking for someone who brings both technical excellence and strong communication skills:
- Proven experience producing Management Accounts in a medium-large business
- Recently qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Experience preparing VAT returns
- A methodical, accurate and conscientious approach to work
- Experience working in large corporate or professional services
- Confidence presenting financial results and engaging with senior stakeholders
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
- Proactive, flexible, and a genuine team player
- Strong relationship-builder with excellent written and verbal communication
- Passionate about improving processes and financial reporting
About the Role
Based in the ultra-modern Belfast city office, you’ll be a key member of the expanding Accounts Department. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assist with the monthly consolidated management accounts process
- Prepare Management Packs, including P&Ls, balance sheets and cashflow
- Review journals, ensure accurate accruals & prepayments, and reconcile all GL control accounts
- Complete intercompany reconciliations across all offices
- Support the preparation of year-end Statutory Financial Statements and audit schedules
- Liaise with auditors and internal teams as required
- Ensure financial processes and controls follow best practice and embed continuous improvement
- Work with the Finance Team Lead on finance process enhancements
- Collaborate with the Finance Systems Team to improve reporting capabilities
- Build strong relationships with Business Managers and Partners
- Support Budgeting & Forecasting
- Provide analysis to the firm’s working capital team
- Handle and resolve complex management accounting queries
