Direct Debit Controller in Warwick

We are looking for a Direct Debit Controller to join the team and take ownership of Direct Debit processing across both Volvo Trucks and Renault Trucks. You’ll play a key role in making sure collections are accurate, compliant and completed on time, while working closely with customers, dealers, depots and colleagues across the business.

With multiple Direct Debit runs each week, you’ll manage competing priorities, resolve queries and keep customer accounts and payments moving smoothly. You’ll work closely with dealerships, customers, Aftermarket and Parts teams.

• Manage Direct Debit ledgers and dealer accounts across Volvo Trucks and Renault Trucks, ensuring collections are accurate and completed on time




• Process Direct Debit collections via Bacs system, completing the necessary reconciliations and checks




• Manage customer and dealer queries across the Direct Debit and Central Admin mailboxes




• Review accounts, unallocated cash and payment plans, investigating discrepancies and taking action where required




• Monitor Direct Debit activity and follow up on unpaid payments, cancellations, final notices and other exceptions




• Work with depots, dealers and internal teams to resolve account queries and process credit limit increases




• Keep customer account information up to date, including bank details and application forms




• Support card payments, online payments and other finance administration activities when required

Reporting to the Finance Support Manager, you’ll have the support of colleagues including the Data Analyst, Direct Debit Controller and wider Finance Support team, working together to deliver an effective and efficient service.

What you’ll bring?

We’re looking for someone with previous experience in Direct Debit processing, ledger management and credit control, who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable managing multiple priorities and time-sensitive deadlines.

You’ll need:

• Experience in credit control, including managing outstanding payments and resolving account queries




• Experience with BACS transmissions and reconciliations, with a good understanding of the processes involved




• Experience using card payment systems, online payments and manual payment processes




• Strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills, including experience using VLOOKUPs and PivotTables




• Experience using financial or customer account systems, ideally SAP




• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when working with financial information




• Good communication skills and the confidence to work with customers, dealers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues.




• A proactive approach to resolving queries, investigating discrepancies and finding solutions
