Responsibilities
- Work as part of a 3‑year Light Vehicle Apprenticeship Program, focusing on mechanics, diagnostics, and truck technology.
- You will gain hands‑on experience with commercial low‑and‑medium‑weight vehicle systems, including electronic, diagnostic, and computer‑management components.
Apprenticeship Details
The program is hosted at the Renault Trucks Academy in Leicester and includes residential training, continual professional development, and progression to Level 3 in the Light Vehicle Standard.
Working Hours and Rates
Mon‑Fri 40 hours, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm with block release study weeks
Rates:
- 16‑17 years £7.93 per hour
- 18‑20 years £10.50 per hour
- 21+ years £12.21 per hour
Rates increase as you move into the next year or if age category changes before the new year commences.
