Position Type: Professional HGV Technician Supervisor – Lead the Workshop Team

Salary up to £24 per hour + overtime!

Working a rotating shift pattern 0600hrs to 1430hrs/1430hrs to 2300hrs 1 in 4 Saturdays @ overtime (time and a half), 0700hrs to 1200hrs

Working closely with the team in order to create high levels of morale and focus to ensure that work is completed in a timely manner and with excellence in quality. Effective communication with the Workshop Controller and CSR’s to ensure that technicians have valid job specifications and time budget prior to work commencing. Ensuring that customer expectations are managed at all times by working with each stage of the Genuine Volvo Service process. Maximising the shifts performance through effective problem solving, coaching & development.

Who are you?

  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
  • Workshop experience – ideally in trucks/buses – with some supervisory know-how
  • A strong communicator who can get the best out of a team
  • Organised, proactive, and customer-focused
  • Full UK driving licence (HGV licence a big plus)
  • To be able to manage and motivate a team of technicians in their daily activities
  • To be able to effectively communicate at all levels both written and verbally
