AB Texel UK are a large, well-established agricultural bulk transport company who are currently recruiting for a reliable HGV Class 1 driver to shunt at our customers' premises in Whittlesey.
Shift Pattern
We currently have the following shift pattern available: 4 on 4 off Shift (22:00 - 06:00)
What are you going to do?
- This is a physically demanding, yard based role, suited to someone who enjoys being active, working outdoors, and getting stuck in as part of a hard working team.
- Use a tug to shunt trailers on site as per our customers' requirements.
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when dealing with customers and members of the public.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects in line with company procedures and DVSA requirements.
- Follow all health & safety, site, and company procedures.
- Providing customer service as part of this role.
Physical work required:
- Ability to couple and uncouple units and trailers.
- Ability to load and unload.
- Ability to climb up onto the back and into trailers.
- Ability to roll bulker sheet from one side to other, where required.
Who are you?
- Our ideal driver feels at home in the agricultural sector.
- Is in possession of an HGV Class 1 license. A clean license is preferred.
- Experience desired, however, full training will be provided.
