Are you an experienced sous chef with a passion for creating flavourful and innovative dishes? Our client, a stunning restaurant and hotel in Gloucestershire, is seeking a talented Sous Chef to join their team. The hotel is part of a nationwide group, offering the chance to travel to their other sites for learning and progression opportunities!
As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen and deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests. - Assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen operations and meeting quality and safety standards.
- Oversee food preparation and ensure timely and accurate delivery of meals.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and recipes.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high culinary standards and efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies and ingredients.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following proper food handling and sanitation guidelines.
- Coordinate with servers and other staff to ensure smooth operation during service.
- Experience working in high quality, similar sized kitchens at a Sous Chef Level.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
