A thoroughly modern, independent, and integrated communications agency that excels in helping brands and businesses achieve significant impact is seeking an Art Director/Creative Lead. This individual will be instrumental in leading the creative department and partnering with the Head of Copy to deliver brilliant and effective work both creative ideas and hands-on execution for a range of clients, including those in beauty, FMCG, homewares, DIY, and government sectors. Spearheading creative ideas and execution with a large amount of creative autonomy. The role demands a passion for delivering stand-out campaigns across digital, social, marketing and advertising and a desire to make a significant difference within an independent agency setting.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Collaborate across various teams within the 30+ person agency to deliver huge 360 channel ideas, big advertising ideas, amazing social concepts, and finessed design and art direction for clients across a large range of industries.
  • Guide a team of 6 creatives through the creative and design process acting as a mentor to junior members of the creative department.
  • Have sign-off on the majority of creative work, working hand-in-hand with the senior copywriter.
  • Report to the board of directors with all projects, taking full responsibility for developing award-winning work and managing award submissions.
  • Present directly to clients with authority, confidence, and charm, fostering strong relationships.
  • Work with the strategic team to hone creative briefs, ensuring they are as inspirational or direct as needed.

WHAT IT TAKES

  • 5-10 years experience as a rising star creative lead with solid experience to step-up OR an art director with solid experience looking for more autonomy on creative direction.
  • A desire to make the next step in your career, looking for a long-term journey within an independent agency.
  • You must possess hands-on skills in Adobe suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD) and be willing to use them at AD level.
  • Your portfolio must show creative ideas and design execution across both B2C & B2B campaign work.
  • Experience in pitching face to face with clients.
  • Knowledge of print and digital design best practices.
  • A growing understanding of AI.
  • Must possess the legal right to work in the UK.
