IAM and DLP Security Specialist – Automotive Business

As the IAM and DLP Security Specialist, you will be responsible for establishing and enhancing the security requirements for the Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) framework. You will ensure security requirements are clearly identified, established, and enforced to relevant stakeholders for compliance and a strengthened security posture. In this unique and specialized position, you will be at the forefront of managing the implementation and continuous improvement of IAM and DLP controls across the organization.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, Legal, Compliance, and Business Units to ensure that identity governance, access provisioning, and data protection strategies align with regulatory requirements and business objectives. Your expertise will be critical in identifying risks, driving remediation efforts, and promoting a culture of security awareness and accountability.

Responsibilities

1. Design and maintain IAM policies, standards, and procedures.
2. Manage identity lifecycle processes including provisioning, de-provisioning, and access reviews.
3. Implement role-based access controls (RBAC) and least privilege principles.
4. Integrate IAM solutions with enterprise applications and cloud platforms.

DLP Program Development

1. Define and enforce DLP policies to prevent unauthorized data access, sharing, or exfiltration.
2. Deploy and maintain organisation-wide DLP solution for automated insights
3. Monitor and respond to DLP alerts and incidents.
4. Collaborate with stakeholders to classify data and apply appropriate protection mechanisms.
5. Conduct regular audits and assessments of data handling practices.

Security Governance & Compliance

1. Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, NIS2).
2. Support internal and external audits related to IAM and DLP controls.
3. Maintain documentation and evidence for compliance reporting.

Collaboration & Enablement

1. Work closely with IT, SOC, Legal, and business units to embed IAM and DLP into operational workflows.
2. Provide training and awareness on secure access and data handling practices.
3. Act as a subject matter expert in security architecture discussions.

We expect you to have/be

• Strong hands-on experience with IAM technologies (e.g., Azure AD, Okta) and DLP solutions (e.g., Microsoft Purview).
• Deep understanding of identity lifecycle management, access governance, and authentication protocols (e.g., OAuth, Kerberos).
• Familiarity with cloud security models and integration of IAM/DLP in hybrid environments.
• Experience with regulatory frameworks and standards such as GDPR, ISO 27001, NIS2, and PCI-DSS.
• Ability to assess complex environments and design scalable, secure IAM and DLP solutions.
• Skilled in identifying risks, analyzing incidents, and driving remediation efforts.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to translate security requirements into actionable tasks for IT and business teams.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM or equivalent are highly desirable.

Some additional information

Location: While EMEA is our preferred location for this position, we are open to discussing other Automotive locations for the right candidate (with a general preference for the candidate is hired on a local contract at this site).
