Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (1-hour unpaid lunch)

Salary: £28k-£32k DOE

The Opportunity

We’re seeking a driven, confident Sales Executive to join our small but busy team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in sales or account management, particularly in industrial or B2B sectors. This role is with a small family company and requires someone willing to help out in other areas of the business when required. It will be a mix of internal and external sales responsibilities, including some warehouse and delivery tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer enquiries, quoting prices, quantities, delivery times, and specifications
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships across various industries
  • Manage sales in a fast-paced, back-to-back and stock trading environment
  • Operate basic machinery (forklift, guillotine, cutting/coating equipment) – training provided
  • Support warehouse operations and occasionally deliver to clients (using company vehicles)

What We’re Looking For

  • Sales or account management experience (metal industry experience is a bonus but not essential)
  • Professional, proactive, and detail-orientated
  • Confident communicator, particularly by phone and email
  • Comfortable with basic mathematical calculations and IT systems
  • Ability to learn product knowledge quickly and work with a diverse client base
  • Driving license and access to your own vehicle (business mileage reimbursed)

Desirable (but not required):

  • Knowledge of stainless steel, aluminium, or engineering/manufacturing sectors
  • Experience using computerized stock systems
