Mechanical Estimator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will play a crucial role in assessing project costs and ensuring that we maintain competitive pricing while maximising profitability. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively. The ideal candidate will have experience in cost control and a solid understanding of the construction industry., * Prepare accurate cost estimates for projects by analysing drawings, specifications, and other relevant documents.

• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to gather necessary information for estimates.

• Conduct thorough market research to determine material and labour costs.

• Monitor project budgets and assist in cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle.

• Review and adjust estimates based on changes in project scope or unforeseen circumstances.

• Maintain detailed records of estimates, including calculations and methodologies used.

• Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid documents and presenting estimates to clients.

• Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.

• Proficiency in cost control methods and practices.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex information clearly.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• A background in construction, engineering, or a related field is essential.
