The Role: This role supports the Planning Manager in coordinating around 50,000 service calls and 12,000 installations annually, focusing on efficiency and technician productivity. It involves managing over 100 internal engineers, coordinating with third-party teams, and ensuring work meets agreed service levels (SLAs). You'll work closely with other departments and external stakeholders to optimize scheduling, solve logistical challenges, and deliver a high-quality, reactive customer service. Strong communication, planning, and data interpretation skills are essential, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Job & Service Management: Oversee daily planning and coordination of ~50,000 reactive calls and 12,000 installations annually across all On Trade customers, including 2.5m hl of draught beer volume.
  • Scheduling & Resource Optimisation: Use diagnostic tools and scheduling systems to plan engineer routes, ensure efficient resource use, and meet SLAs for reactive and planned work (PPMs).
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Sales Intelligence) and key customers (e.g., JDW, Greene King, Whitbread) to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Performance & Risk Management: Identify risks to KPIs and SLAs, taking action to mitigate them; manage WIP and ensure accurate task closure in systems.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Planning Manager to improve team productivity and attend regular planning reviews.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify operational improvement opportunities using PDCA methodology; contribute to process development and service level enhancements.
