As a Graduate Verification and Validation Engineer, you will support the Systems Engineering team in validating and verifying AB Dynamics' automotive test equipment. This includes both track-based solutions (e.g., driving robots and ADAS targets) and laboratory-based systems (e.g., SPMM, ANVH, SSTM). Your primary responsibilities will be to assist in executing validation tests and take ownership of managing and maintaining test equipment to ensure smooth and efficient testing operations.
- Verification & Validation
- Assist in the setup, execution, and documentation of system validation tests.
- Actively manage and maintain test equipment, ensuring it is calibrated, functional, and ready for use.
- Support the development of automated test environments to improve efficiency and repeatability.
- Collaborate with engineers across Systems, Test, and Calibration teams to ensure accurate and reliable testing.
- Participate in hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, simulations, and real-world test-track activities.
- Maintain detailed records of test procedures, results, and equipment status.
- Help troubleshoot issues with test setups and equipment, escalating where necessary.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety and quality standards during all testing activities.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and foster a multi-disciplinary understanding of our products.
- Support the wider company with targeted demonstrations, industry workshops and technical customer training.
- Collaborate with Test and Calibration to ensure any new product production Calibration methods are correct and suitable, supporting the development of non-standard methods as required.
- Rotations
- Perform 3-month rotations in several areas across the business to gain a wider understanding.
- Investigate complex technical issues, identifying and developing solutions in a variety of disciplines.
- Work with customers, performing demonstrations and improving their understanding of our products.
- Develop transferrable skills, delivering progress update presentations and undergoing company-organised training.
