ABF Business Technology Services are looking for a hands‑on Security & Resilience Manager to lead their Security & Resilience team.

Working closely with infrastructure, applications, data, architecture, security operations and risk teams, you will provide technical leadership, assurance and governance across projects, operational change and strategic initiatives, helping to continuously improve our security posture.

  • What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead, prioritise and manage the Security & Resilience team’s workload through an agile, Kanban‑driven approach, ensuring work is planned, allocated and delivered to a high standard, on time and within budget.
  • Run daily team stand‑ups and manage forward planning, drawing on SOC Level 3 support where required.
  • Provide weekly updates on progress, risks, issues and blockers to the Director of Security & Risk Management, alongside monthly updates for the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Manage team performance, including annual appraisals, mentoring, development and day‑to‑day support for team members.
  • Partner with security, infrastructure, engineering, architecture, data and business stakeholders to provide expert advice and achieve secure, resilient outcomes.
  • Assess, design and recommend effective security controls across hybrid Azure and Active Directory environments.
  • Lead and contribute to complex security consultancy engagements, identifying risks and defining practical remediation plans that strengthen the organisation’s security posture.
  • Support cloud security and continuous improvement initiatives, including identity and access management, Conditional Access, Zero Trust, security tooling and consultancy approaches.
  • What You’ll Bring
  • Strong experience working within hybrid Azure and Active Directory environments, including identity security and access control.
  • Proven experience advising on security controls in large, complex organisations.
  • A solid understanding of security frameworks and best practice, such as ISO 27001, NIST and CIS.
  • Strong knowledge of modern security concepts, including Zero Trust, identity‑first security and cloud security.
  • Experience taking a risk‑based approach to improve security posture, resilience and risk‑management outcomes.
  • The ability to communicate complex technical and security risks clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong stakeholder‑management and influencing skills, with the ability to build collaboration without formal authority.
  • Excellent written, verbal, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, including the ability to produce clear, actionable reports and recommendations.
  • A proactive, self‑starting approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast‑paced, evolving environment

This role will be based at our Peterborough offices on the Lynchwood Business Park.
