Location: Hybrid, UK. Contract & Hours: Permanent, Mon ā Fri, 40 hours per week. Package: Salary from Ā£55,000 a year, pension contributions matched up to 10%, flexible benefits. Regular UK travel required ā typically 2ā3 days some weeks, with occasional overnight stays. Other weeks will be homeābased.
About the Role
We are looking for a Sustainability & Biodiversity Consultant to join our Kite and Asterra UK Corporate team. In this role, you will help dairy processors, retailers, and their supplying farms navigate the challenges of carbon reduction, biodiversity enhancement, soil health, and water quality. You will translate complex policy and science into practical, onāfarm actions, ensuring strategies are both credible and commercially viable.
What You Will Be Doing
- Provide consultancy to corporate dairy and agriāfood customers on sustainability, biodiversity, water quality, and carbon.
- Translate policy and frameworks into clear, practical advice for farmers.
- Design and deliver customerāspecific sustainability strategies and programmes.
- Act as a subject matter expert on UK and international environmental policy.
- Collaborate with colleagues across AB Agri to coācreate impactful solutions.
- Manage consultancy projects from brief to completion, delivering highāquality outputs.
- Represent AB Agri in boardrooms and on farms, adapting communication to each audience.
What We Are Looking For
- Degree in agriculture, environmental science, sustainability, or related field.
- Extensive knowledge built through at least five years in agricultural sustainability or biodiversity consultancy.
- Demonstrated skill in translating policy into onāfarm practices.
- Strong communication skills with confidence engaging both corporate stakeholders and farmers.
- Proficient in conveying ideas and collaborating with both corporate stakeholders and farmers.
