Are you a payroller seeking your next opportunity? Are you immediately available and ready to take on a new contract? Due to exciting continued growth we are seeking an experienced Payroll Advisor to join our team on a 6 months fixed term contract to ensure a robust and flawless monthly payroll service is provided and customer expectations are met.
What you'll be doing:
- Responsible for own payroll from start to finish.
- Prioritise workloads to ensure deadlines and service levels are met.
- Provide administrative support to colleagues and other teams.
- Support the UK Payroll Manager in systems upgrade testing and payroll system maintenance.
- Ensure HMRC RTI submissions are accurate, completed and submitted within timescales.
- Work closely with UK Payroll Manager to ensure tax year end reporting to HMRC, closure of old tax year and setting up payroll for new tax year.
- Produce regular and ad-hoc reports.
- Administer reconciliation of flexible benefit scheme, gain approval and instruct Finance re payment.
- Answer queries and be technical expert on payroll for key customers and stakeholders.
What you'll bring:
- Ability to manage priorities, resolve problems and escalate issues within a busy working environment.
- Experience of working volume end to end payroll environment and meeting deadlines.
- Highly numerate with proficient analytical skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience of a computerised payroll system.
- Sound up to date knowledge of payroll and experience of using MS Office, Word and Excel.
- Ability to anticipate and resolve potential issues and prioritise workloads when facing tight deadlines.
Hours: We are open to considering part or full-time working hours, please state in your application what hours you are looking for.
Location: This position is connected to our Head Office in Peterborough, where our team meets on a Thursday each week and we'd love for you to attend the office too.
