Job Title: Commercial Nutritionist – Pig
Location: Home based -UK
Contract and Shift details: Permanent – Monday – Friday, 37.5 hrs per week
Are you a pig nutritionist looking for an opportunity to join a market-leading business where we prioritize the welfare and nutrition of animals? If so, join our team today.
You will join a team of Swine Nutrition experts, supporting the UK and Ireland customer base. We focus on feed safety and independent animal nutrition, so you will use your expert knowledge to advise on bespoke premix products that meet and optimize customers’ needs. You will work closely with our customers, utilizing data and science behind pig nutrition to develop practical solutions that help their businesses grow.
You will generate and support new and existing customers by providing advice on premix, supplements, feed formulation, and general nutrition support that meet the needs of the business, farmers, or market, while ensuring that product specifications are safe, legal, and meet our business objectives.
Alongside your nutritional expertise, you will play a key role in our growth and ongoing development by applying your commercial and strategic skills to support in the following areas:
- Develop and implement business growth strategy in the UK and Ireland, with consideration of wider European markets
- Contribute to literature, marketing, and PR activities, including preparing articles and technical papers

Participate in R&D activities
- Collaborate with operational and quality teams in production to identify opportunities for improvements in quality, safety, or cost
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with pig nutrition experience to put their knowledge into practice while contributing to the continued growth of a market-leading brand.
To be successful, we are looking for some of the following knowledge, skills, and experience:
- Relevant experience in a similar role or degree-level qualification (or equivalent) in a related field, e.g., animal science/animal nutrition
- Strong knowledge of swine nutrition and production, as well as a solid understanding of pig performance data
- Experience in a commercial role, ideally with business development expertise
- Good understanding of the pig supply chain and customer focus
- Knowledge of feed legislation requirements and potential product impacts
Location
This role offers flexibility in terms of location and will be home-based with travel.
