Interim Programme Support

Interim Programme Support & Knowledge Director months

We are supporting a well established international development organisation to appoint an Interim Programme Support and Knowledge Director at a critical point in its delivery cycle. This is a senior leadership role, accountable to an Executive Director within the international programmes function.

You will provide strategic leadership to a multidisciplinary team of senior technical specialists, ensuring high quality programme support, learning and analysis across a global portfolio. A central focus of the role is strengthening the organisation\’s ability to design and deliver complex, restricted funded programmes that are evidence based, locally grounded and aligned with long term ambitions for transformational change.

Working closely with country programmes, regional teams, fundraising colleagues and policy and research functions, you will ensure technical expertise is deployed effectively to support programme quality, delivery and accountability. You will oversee the development and application of technical frameworks, tools and standards, foster strong internal learning and knowledge sharing, and ensure insight from programmes informs future strategy, policy engagement and investment decisions.

This role requires a highly experienced international development leader with a strong track record of delivering restricted funding in complex, multi country environments. You will bring deep experience of working in low and middle income contexts, a strong grasp of systems strengthening, and the credibility to lead, coach and influence senior technical teams and stakeholders across federated or matrix structures.

This is an interim appointment and candidates will ideally be immediately available.
