This is a position for a skilled scientist and intrapreneur who loves to lead a research project from inception to its end. We need an agile, innovative, team player, a well-versed scientist in Gene Therapy, who enjoys driving research projects through to hand-over to the preclinical team, especially in vitro experiments, in alignment with the other members of the team. We need a proactive player, who can propose ideas, make actionable plans, and present, lead and review them to de-risk possible weaknesses. The person will report to the Senior Director, Pipeline expansion lead, in the R&D team.
Responsibilities
- The role is strategic to the timely delivery of the team goals.
- The core responsibilities will be around managing different wet-lab work packages of the projects, including assay development from cell lines KO/KI to Biochemistry, managing CROs, performing in vitro experiments and presenting data internally and externally when appropriate.
- We expect this position to be wet-lab based in London, with some flexibility.
- Mastering basic lab techniques like mammalian cell culture, mammalian cell protein expression, and Wb are mandatory.
- Knowledge of FACS/flow cytometry preferable.

Education and Experience
- PhD or equivalent experience in the industry.
- Previous experience in industry, preferably in Gene Therapy in wet-lab based roles, but people with similar experience are welcome to apply.
