The Role

Join AAVantgarde Bio as our Associate Medical Affairs Director and lead the charge in advancing ophthalmological research and treatments. You’ll be at the forefront of medical innovation, collaborating with diverse teams and building strong connections with healthcare professionals, patient partnership organizations, and industry partners. In this pivotal role, you’ll be the linchpin for our medical affairs strategy, guiding it to align perfectly with our corporate goals.

Skills and Experience Required

We are seeking a seasoned professional with a proven track record of leadership and project management in developing and executing medical affairs strategies for ophthalmology products. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, demonstrating adaptability and a solution-oriented mindset when facing challenges. Building and maintaining strong relationships with key opinion leaders and stakeholders is essential.

A thorough understanding of international regulations for drug product development and registration is required, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong stakeholder management abilities. Exceptional interpersonal skills are crucial for fostering collaboration across functional teams. Experience in a start-up environment is highly desirable.

The candidate should possess a Medical Doctor (MD), PharmD, Optometry, or PhD degree and have a minimum of 5 years of experience in medical affairs leadership roles within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, focusing on ophthalmology.
