Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has a new opportunity for a Property Business Partner on a 6 months contract initially with a possibility of further extension. The Property Business Partner will provide a critical enabling role to facilitate the successful delivery of the service directorates' built environment priorities including capital projects and major accommodation moves.

The role will lead and manage the delivery of property and estate related capital projects and programmes across a defined portfolio which could include Regeneration, Arts, Culture & Leisure or Schools. This requires successful leadership and management of competing priorities and demands to strategically plan work programmes specific to the successful delivery of the relevant client directorate.

The role requires the holder to have a detailed understanding of the work and activities of the Council. The Property Business Partner will be key in understanding how allocated directorates operate, their current and future property requirements based on local and national factors affecting how they deliver their services.

The role holder will develop strong working relationships with stakeholders from across the Council team and provide them with assurance that their requirements from property and projects are embedded within the Strategic Asset Management Plan as well as project and programme business cases in accordance with the Council’s existing governance framework for this process and these documents.

The role will be responsible for the implementation of the Council Estate Strategy and asset management plans by acting as the key interface between stakeholder clients and the property services team and effectively aligning customer needs analysis with technical expertise.

The Property Business Partner will support the Senior Property Business Partner to be the commercial custodian of the 3rd party property professional services contract and will protect the Council’s commercial position through effective contract, financial and project management. NEC PM experience/accreditation is desirable. Standard DBS required.
