Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and self-starting S&I Service Coordinator to support the Strategy & Innovation (S&I) team in delivering key business planning, project management, and knowledge management initiatives. Based in Victoria, London, with flexible hybrid working, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the future of services across the Council by supporting high-impact digital and innovation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide project and programme support for S&I, collaborating with Digital & Innovation teams to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Conduct regular reviews to align with the Council’s strategic priorities.
- Support the Council’s data publication and open data activities.
- Create and maintain detailed project and programme documentation to monitor progress, risks, and areas for improvement.
Information and Knowledge Management:
- Manage development activities for the Council’s “Intelligence Hub” in partnership with analytics stakeholders, supporting governance processes for key data products.
- Assist in maintaining and updating the Performance Management Hub, ensuring continuous improvement of the platform.
- Lead horizon scanning activities and support information capture processes for the S&I team.
Supporting the “Urban Lab” Partnership:
Urban Lab is a multi-disciplinary centre for policy research and expert collaboration at City Council. We are passionate about understanding the key issues that face local communities and identifying the best approaches to support a fair and flourishing. We work across a broad range of council services to improve outcomes for our residents through enabling evidence‑led policy and iterative improvements. An important part of our work is to connect council officers and policy-makers with external subject‑matter experts. This can support council work through collaborative research, cutting‑edge experimental trials, and robust evidence-building. We seek to build close, mutually enriching partnerships with researchers whose expertise aligns with our priorities.
