Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has a new opportunity for a Product Analyst on a 3 months contract initially with a possibility of further extension.

Most Important Bit: Must have previous product analysis or architecture experience within a multi-disciplinary team evidenced on the CV. You may know this role as a business analyst role. Really important along with evidence/examples of defining functional requirements.

The Report It team have committed to an extensive delivery plan that includes research, design and development. We require a Product Analyst to define both non-functional and functional requirements across three Report It teams.

This role is hybrid, with most colleagues across the programme working from City Hall once or twice a week depending on the team’s needs and schedules. The role will have other Product Analysts and Product Managers to collaborate with across a growing Community of Practice, and report into the Lead Product Manager.

The council is committed to developing products and services to meet our Residents’ needs. Within Digital & Innovation, we use user research and insight to design, test, and build solutions across Housing, Smart Cities, and Report It. Our multi-disciplinary teams include colleagues across Digital, Data and Technology that use agile principles to deliver value fast.

We need a Product Analyst to identify and understand these needs and translate them into technical and non-technical requirements for our products across Digital & Innovation. This Product Analyst role will work between research, design and development to ensure our products meet users and business needs while balancing regulatory and technical constraints.

They will play an active role to ensure the team(s) are ready to deliver, including:

  • Identifying, analysing, and defining functional and non-functional requirements to drive the design and development of products (Required)
  • Scoping, drafting, and managing technical specifications and documentation (Required)
  • As-is and to-be process mapping, working with users and stakeholders across the business to define what these journeys are (Required)
  • Drafting and defining user stories, acceptance criteria, and definition of done for our product teams (Required)
  • Collaborating across product teams and wider programmes to feed into decision-making for design, development, and procurement (Required)
