Responsibilities:
- Highways Maintenance Management and Public Realm Projects (Reactive, Routine Maintenance, PPM Carriageway and Footway, Public Realm, Drainage and PPM)
- Reactive, Routine, PPM Public Lighting Maintenance Management, Electrical & Mechanical Services
- Bridges & Structures – Maintenance and Improvements (Retaining walls, underpasses, statues) Reactive, Routine and PPM
- Compliance and Audit Services
- Professional Services – Project Management, Asset Management, Security Schemes
- TBC – Housing assets
- Provision of NEC contract development & management training for WCC employees participating in Highways contract re-procurement, including best practice in contract evaluation
- Project Management Support for procurement process including Procurement Strategy Development, Project governance, Competitive Dialogue Negotiations
- Lead on Evaluation of Tender submissions
- Support in WCC contract demobilisation
The work can be undertaken at whatever location is deemed most suitable, although the consultant will be expected to attend the Council Offices to attend meetings as and when required. Please ensure candidates can get to WCC easily and frequently if needed – NOT FULLY REMOTE.
