Aatom Recruitment is looking for a Building Control Surveyor on behalf of a Local Authority.
Contract Duration: 3Months with possibility of Extension Hours per week: 36Location: London, Berkshire, Kent, Merseyside
Responsibilities
Review plans for a diverse range of construction projects.
Conduct on-site inspections to ensure compliance with building regulations.
Provide Building Control advice through various channels (phone, email, in person).
Inspect dangerous structures during regular working hours.
Maintain accurate records of inspections and correspondence.
Provide management and control in the administration and enforcement of the Building Safety Act, Building Act, Building Regulations, London Building Acts and allied legislation to ensure an adequate standard of construction, with regard to public health and safety, in respect of the built environment within the geographical area of the Borough.
Support the training of Trainee and Assistant Surveyors.
Assist the Principal Surveyor and Team Manager with additional team duties.
Required Skills
Full corporate membership status with a recognized professional body such as RICS, CABE, or CIOB.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Eagerness to learn and develop both soft and technical skills.
Strong team player with a sense of responsibility.
