Working on behalf of a Local Authority, Aatom Recruitment has a new opportunity for a Commercial Manager (Band 4) on a 3 months contract with a possibility of further extension.
Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday 9-5 (flexible working available).
Adult social care and public health procurement experience needed. Preferably: MCIPS (Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply).
About the role: The Council is seeking a talented and experienced Commercial Manager to lead end-to-end procurement processes within our corporate category, which includes a wide range of areas such as IT and Facilities Management (FM). This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work remotely but requires presence at City Hall in Victoria 1-2 days a week. The Commercial Manager will report directly to the Head of Tendering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage procurement processes from initiation through to completion.
- Focus on corporate categories including IT and FM, ensuring value for money and compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to drive effective procurement strategies.
- Deliver high-quality procurement outcomes in a timely manner.
- Ensure alignment with Council goals and public sector procurement guidelines.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience working within Local Authority/Public Sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing end-to-end procurement processes.
- Specific experience in corporate categories such as IT or FM.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- MCIPS qualification is preferred.
