We are recruiting for a major European supplier of professional stage equipment. Think stadium‑filling lighting, lasers, high‑end audio, speakers and special effects. They already supply some of the world's biggest bands, production firms and artists, and they are now looking for "boots on the ground" in the UK to expand their reach. The ideal living location is the South of England.

This is a high‑profile role selling into Tour Managers, Production Managers, and Creative Directors for West End shows, Arena tours, Stadium Shows, Conferences, and major Festivals.

Event Rental Sales – What is Required?

We are not looking for previous event industry experience. However, to apply for this role, you must have extensive experience selling equipment on a rental basis. Whether you come from plant hire, materials handling, specialist vehicles, shipping containers, workwear and textiles, hygiene services, specialist industrial equipment, IT leasing, even laundry services. The key is that you must understand the mechanics of selling the rental model.

You must have a "Soft Approach" to sales, i.e. a consummate professional who prioritises communication and incredible customer service over quick wins. You are unfazed by dealing with "tough characters," high‑pressure tour managers, or the occasional meeting with global stars who want their input on the creative side of their shows. You ask challenging questions, make confident decisions, and solve problems.

Your European colleagues will handle the technical specifications while you are training, and your induction will include client meetings with the CEO, a recognised industry stalwart, to understand their successful business philosophy.

The Role of Relationship Manager, Event Rental Equipment

This is not a "hard sell" role. The company prides itself on a "slow burn" approach. They know that long‑term, profitable business comes from genuine trust. Your target in the first year is low. As long as you are securing 4 face‑to‑face meetings a week with the right decision‑makers, there is no pressure to close immediate deals. You are planting seeds for a lucrative Year Two and beyond.

You will be renting the equipment together with the specialist labour required to manage logistics, installation, and breakdown across different countries for worldwide tours. The role involves extensive networking and corporate hospitality. You must be comfortable effectively managing your own schedule from home, covering the whole of the UK with frequent overnight stays and occasional European travel.

To Apply

If you are a relationship‑led sales professional with a background in rental solutions, apply to robert.scott@aaronwallis.co.uk. Salary Up to £75,000 per annum + £90K OTE. Status Permanent. Industry Business Services. Location United Kingdom, London.
