We are seeking a Transport Planner to join our friendly team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and planning transportation activities to ensure efficient delivery of goods and services.
Experience Needed: 1 year minimum in a logistics administrator role.
Responsibilities:
- Allocation of work to couriers in a fair and transparent manner.
- Taking bookings accurately and advising clients of our services.
- Implementing and maintaining Service Level Agreements.
- Proactively keeping clients and fellow employees informed of any delays or issues.
- Ensure your fleet size is sufficient to service your clients particularly during peak periods - maintain levels and recruit drivers when required.
- Monitoring of jobs through to POD and completion.
- Ensure drivers achieve maximum revenue.
- Seek backloads for drivers.
- Responsible for particular accounts.
Key Skills:
- Managing and exceeding customer expectations.
- Ability to communicate clearly with clients, couriers and suppliers and always remain professional.
- Be highly organised.
- Previous controlling experience.
- Good geographical knowledge.
- Excellent punctuality and attendance.
- Previous transport industry experience.
- Acting on your own initiative without constant supervision.
- Computer literate.
Hours: Hours will be between 8am & 5pm Monday to Friday.
