Business Development Manager I Premium Flooring Products I North East Region I £35,000 - £45,000 Basic + Uncapped Commission + Company Car

Are you a driven field sales professional who loves winning new business, building relationships and being out on the road? Do you thrive in a role where you can genuinely influence customers rather than competing purely on price? We are recruiting for a well-established UK manufacturer of premium flooring products who are looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to develop and grow their North East territory. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected business with a strong reputation for quality, innovation and customer service within the flooring industry.

The role is a true mix of new business development and account management, although the key focus is very much on growing the territory and winning new customers.

The Role

  • Covering the North East region, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities across your territory.
  • Managing and growing an existing customer base.
  • Building relationships with flooring retailers, trade customers and commercial clients.
  • Conducting customer visits, presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Promoting premium products and confidently selling on value rather than price.
  • Identifying opportunities to increase sales and market share.
  • Managing your own diary and territory effectively.
  • Representing the business professionally within the marketplace.

This is a field-based role where relationship building, resilience and strong communication skills are essential.

The Candidate

We are looking for a motivated and commercially minded sales professional who enjoys being customer-facing and developing long-term business relationships. You may currently be working within: Flooring, Interiors, Merchant sales, Building products, Construction products, Kitchens.
