You won't be following a script—you'll be the technical heartbeat of the sales process, turning complex requirements into reality. Based in St Helens, this role is a key technical-commercial hybrid. You will bridge the gap between engineering and the customer, providing expert guidance on complex engineered systems for land and marine applications.
The Role
- Technical Lead: Act as the primary technical point of contact throughout the sales cycle, translating customer requirements into viable system architectures.
- Demonstrations & Training: Deliver product presentations and hands-on training at our dedicated facility in St Helens.
- Commercial Support: Assist the sales team with technical specifications, tender responses, and quotations.
- Site Engagement: Conduct site visits for system evaluations and troubleshooting, ensuring successful project handovers.
- Market Insight: Identify growth opportunities and represent the company at industry trade shows.
Requirements
- Background: Ideally HNC/HND or Degree qualified in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: Proven track record in technical sales, applications engineering, or a high-level technical support role.
- Technical Literacy: Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and system schematics.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Flexibility: Willing to travel for customer visits and site support as required.
